Once saved, always saved?

Preach the Gospel!
Once saved, always saved?
Avoid the lake of fire!
There is only one God!
Be born again in Christ!

"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." (Galations 5:24)

Some people believe, and some false religions teach that once a person has devoted his life to Christ, he can live his life the way he wants to. This is not what the bible teaches. First, the bible says to repent and LEAVE your sins. This means just what it says. You have to change your way of living if it does not conform to God's law. If you were a fornicator, that means you have to stop fornicating! Here is what Paul states in Romans 6:1-2: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein." So we are to leave our sins, period. Hebrews 10:26 states a powerful message about those who learn the truth and what happens if they go and sin willfully. It states "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." So my friends, after accepting Jesus as your savior, we have to be strong and resist the urge to sin. Galations tells us to "crucify the flesh." That means KILL it! The flesh is our internal desire to sin, that urge that we have been born with. But with prayer and the promise of everlasting life given to us from Jesus Christ, we can overcome any temptation!

In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents (Luke 15:10)
